Boreas by John William Waterhouse (1903)

The 1904 Royal Academy notes described the subject of the painting best:  "In wind-blown draperies of slate-colour and blue, a girl passes through a spring landscape accented by pink blossom and daffodils".

Boreas is a 1.5" x 2" tile attached to a 20-inch string of blue and silver beads.

Fun fact - after having been lost for 90 years, Boreas was put up for sale in the mid-1990s and was sold for a record price, at the time, of £848,500 ($1,293,962 USD).
