I love incorporating stitching in the covers of my books; partly because it’s unexpected, and I do like to buck expectations, and partly because I love the subtle texture it adds. The process of making this cover was such a fun one - I didn’t know quite what I was going for, and just went where the thread wanted to go. The result is a wonderfully abstract pattern that is the perfect introduction to this journal that features a variety of black and white images from vintage books, paired with blank and colored pages. The book is sewn by hand and has an exposed spine.
This happy little book measures approximately 6” by 4” by .75”.
